The host city in 2010 is:

The result of first round of voting:

  • No application received more than 50% of the votes.
  • The application that is eliminated because it received the least votes is: C8 Phantasia


The host city has to build a stadium for the BrettSpielWeltSpiele.
The building costs are 10,000 wood, 2,000 stone, 2,000 wool, 2,000 ore, 1,000 tools and 10,000 taler.

It is an option that a maximum of 2 cities team team up to host the BrettSpielWeltSpiele. Both of these cities can then build a smaller stadium. The building costs are then 5,000 wood, 1,000 stone, 1,000 wool, 1,000 ore, 500 tools and 5,000 taler for each city.

Function of the stadium
The BrettSpielWeltSpiele are held in the stadium. It will have enough flexible game rooms for the event containing games that can be switched at any time. When 2 cities host the event they will have to make precise arrangements which games will be available in which city. At the end of the BrettSpielWeltSpiele the number of game rooms of the stadium will be reduced to 6 and will contain the games desired by the host city. The number of game rooms in the small stadium will be reduced to 3 after the BrettSpielWeltSpiele.

Game rooms

The host city will be responsible for allocating the needed rooms for the different tournaments and will inform the respective tournament organizers of their allocated rooms, so that they can announce them to their players. The host city will also pin the activated options mentioned in the modes of every tournament and also pin the deactivated options that are not mentioned.

Opening ceremony

The host city has to organize an opening ceremony. It will take place on Friday, April 2 2010 in the evening. This date is fixed. The look, feel and contents of the ceremony are totally up to the host city.


The blacklist of the host city must be empty during the games so that all participants cab play and everyone else can watch.


Applications received by the committee will not be published before the application deadline. This shall ensure that other potential applicants are not narrowed down in their creativity.
However, it will be published on the website which cities have applied. Only the mayor of a city may send a final application. Please send it to « Lysiana(at) » before Feb 8 2010 20:00.
The applications will be collected and inspected for completeness by the committee. After the deadline for application has passed, they can be published.
Subsequently the host city will be elected (see Voting).

Important! Applications should at least include the following:

  • A mascot
  • Result service (Puppet for reporting results, tournament news, …)
  • A homepage
  • Presentation of the opening ceremony, award ceremonies for the medalists and the final ceremony
  • Tournament room creating
  • Contact persons should represent their city in the /channel BSWS


Eligible to vote are all members of the committee and all appointed tournament organizers at Jan 23 2010.
The vote will be held in multiple rounds.
Each eligible voter has one vote per round.
If one city reaches more than 50 % of all submitted votes it wins the voting (regardless of the voting round) and will become the host city for the BrettSpielWeltSpiele 2010. Otherwise the city with the least votes is eliminated from the voting and a new round begins.
In case of a tie between multiple cities with the lowest number of votes, poschdi, who is not eligible to vote will decide.
